Do You Sleep When the Wind Blows?

Sleep when the wind blowsBuilding a network marketing business is tough. Nobody said it was going to be easy.  Well, if someone did, they were not telling you the truth. It’s an uphill battle at first, but then it gets to the fun part…the part where “you can sleep when the wind blows.”

During that first part you are often tempted to quit. Don’t give in to temptation. Nothing worth having comes easy. In the beginning of building your network marketing business you do a lot of work and get only paid a little. But if you don’t quit if you keep your eye on the price and work hard then eventually you will reach a stage when you work very little in your business and get paid a lot.

Let me share a little story with you that will paint a picture in your mind you can pull up when things get tough, when you get frustrated, when doubt sets in and you are tempted to just “throw the towel.” Trust me, I’ve been there, plenty of times….

Who Are You Catering to in Your Network Marketing Business?

Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter Quotes

Are you catering to the needy ?

When I first started out in the network marketing industry that’s exactly what I did. When my sponsor asked me to make a list of a hundred people I made sure I included everyone that I could think of who “needed the money” that a network marketing business can provide.

Boy was that ever the wrong way to go about building my business.

How do you overcome fear?

Overcome FearWhen you really think about it, and I’m sure deep down you already know it, but what is really holding you back from the success you desire is fear. Am I right? So how do you overcome fear?

To answer that question first of course you will have to pinpoint exactly what you are afraid of.

In network marketing that could be a variety of things. For example: fear of rejection; fear of talking to strangers; fear of picking up that 500 pound phone and present your opportunity to somebody you don’t know, or worse somebody you do know well.

To tell you the truth, making cold calls has always been my weak spot. I don’t like it and I haven’t done it in years. Personally, I don’t think it’s a very effective way to be prospecting because even if you are a master at it, the people you bring on to your team most likely are not.

5 Things to Look For Before Joining a Particular MLM Team

Teamwork: MLM Team

Why is it that people who belong to a great MLM team do so much better than those who don’t?

Let’s face it, humans are social animals. We like to belong to something, be it a club, a tribe a community, family, team, whatever. We just do better. Yes we even thrive, when we are in a group together with other like-minded people.

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision.
The ability to direct individual accomplishments
toward organizational objectives.

It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

Are You Still Acting Like a Secret Agent in Your Network Marketing Business?

Network Marketing Secret AgentThe times where people thumbed their noses at a network marketing business are behind us. As a matter of fact the network marketing business model is getting more and more exposure around the globe. And in light what just happened on Wall Street lately it’s really a good thing too. People need to be made aware that there is still an opportunity to create a great lifestyle regardless of the economy.

So, why are there still so many network marketers out there acting like secret agents around their friends, family and others in their circle of influence? Why are so many still not sharing the fact that they own and operate a network marketing business? Maybe they feel that they won’t be taken seriously by those closest to them.

Degree in Network Marketing I thought I needed to do a quick follow up to my previous blog post “A Degree in Network Marketing” mainly because Len Clements, Founder & CEO of MarketWave,Inc, who is working with Bethany College on the development of this project left me a couple of links with his comment to more information on the project, which I would like to share with you. Thanks Len!

If you missed my previous post, you can catch it here, “A Degree in Network Marketing.”

Basically I was writing about Bethany College intending to offer a four year Degree in Marketing with emphasis on Network Marketing.

A Degree in Network Marketing? – It’s About Time!

Degree in Network Marketing Especially newcomers to the industry often feel quite uneasy telling friends and family exactly what it is they do. The simple reaction of, “oh, you’re doing one of those pyramid things,” sends shivers down their spine and stops them cold in their tracks.

Would having a Degree in Network Marketing make them feel better?

Maybe. At the very least it would lend more validity to the industry. No college in the world would offer a degree in something that wasn’t legitimate.

Will Your Daily Habits Determine Your Success in Network Marketing?

Success in Network Marketing

Success in Network Marketing

Absolutely! If you like it or not your daily activities or lack thereof, greatly influence whether you will have success in network marketing or not. If you are falling short on your goals maybe you should take a closer look and evaluate the reasons why.

Are your daily habits leading to success or failure?

It is very tempting to hop out of bed, firing up your laptop and see if “you’ve got mail.” But starting out your day by checking your email first thing in the morning might not be a good idea.

Mavis Nong My friend Mavis Nong from “Attraction Marketing Online” not only is an expert in her field and a shining example for Attraction Marketing, but in my opinion, she will most likely also be the most kind and selfless person you will ever meet.

I have known Mavis for about a year now and have learned a great deal from her about blogging and marketing online. Giving must be her middle name, because she always provides great value without asking for anything in return. A true Go-Giver!

Would You Rather Earn Residual or Linear Income?

Earn Residual IncomeIf you are out there in the corporate world holding down a job you may never have thought about the difference between earning residual versus linear income.

So what’s the difference?

Let me ask the same question a different way. Would you rather get paid for your own time and efforts or receive a share of other people’s time and efforts?

How To Tap The MLM Hero In You

Elmar Sandyck We all love heroes.

In fact, we all love heroes so much that we wanted to be heroes ourselves! Not a remote thing to really think about when you’re a little child, especially if you’ve become so enamored with the powers that one could possess – power to zap enemies and make them vanish right before your very eyes, power to fly (a favorite!), power to carry and lift heavy objects like buildings, power to stop objects from its tracks, the power of heightened senses (sight and hearing).
