The first of November logically always follows the spooky night of Halloween. Did you have many trick or treaters knocking at your door? It seems like every year we get less and less here in our community. Not even all of our neighbors’ children visited … or maybe I just didn’t recognize them in their Halloween costumes.
The first day (or first week) of the month is also traditionally the time when I acknowledge and say thanks to my top commentators. At least it’s been like that for the past year or so.

Wow! Another month has gone by and the calendar on the wall is starting to look pretty darn skinny. Only a few more weeks to Halloween, then Thanksgiving and we all know that between that feastful (if that’s not a word it is now) holiday and Christmas the time only flies by even faster.
Well, for us adults anyway. For the children it may still seem endless before they will be allowed to unwrap those shiny presents underneath the Christmas tree.
But let’s not get to far ahead of ourselves … Back to September.

September used to be my favorite month of the year. It is the last month of summer with its cool mornings, and warm, sometimes even still hot afternoons. The chill in the air at night is a sure sign that autumn is on its way. Here in Colorado September is especially beautiful as the aspen turn into a beautiful yellow color also known as “Aspen Glow.”
We Will Never Forget!
This beautiful picture of a beautiful month has forever been scarred ten years ago on September 11, 2001. A day nobody who witnessed it, either live or on television, will ever forget.

Ah, what better way to start out a new month than by recognizing those who make The Enlightened Networker what it is? Highlighting my top supporters is my favorite blog post every month.
Let me start off with giving my heart-felt thank you to each and every one of you who visit my blog and take the time to leave your thoughts and add to the conversation.
I truly appreciate all of you.

Gosh, I can’t believe another month has past. Where does the time go? The first half of the year is almost over. Somebody, please stop the clock.
Well, I don’t think that’s possible. We may be able to stop the clock, but time will still move forward. So I guess, I just have to deal with it.
The good news is that it’s time for another round of applause for my top supporters and without further ado here they are…

If you are a regular visitor to “The Enlightened Networker” you know that I highlight my Top Commentators for the past month at the beginning of the new month. And this being April 1st, oh gosh, “April Fools Day”, it’s this time again.
So without any further ado, here they are …
My friend Mavis Nong from “Attraction Marketing Online” not only is an expert in her field and a shining example for Attraction Marketing, but in my opinion, she will most likely also be the most kind and selfless person you will ever meet.
I have known Mavis for about a year now and have learned a great deal from her about blogging and marketing online. Giving must be her middle name, because she always provides great value without asking for anything in return. A true Go-Giver!

Show Your Appreciation
This post has been inspired by my good friend Jerome Ratliff, who recently published a blog post titled “Participate in the Thank You Party and Get More.”
I loved that post as it shows his total gratitude to those who helped his blog be the success it is today. (By the way, if you haven’t bookmarked it and subscribed to the Maverick Business Builders RSS feed then drop everything right now and do it. Failure to act on this advice could mean that you could be missing out on some very valuable information.)

Appreciation Marketing
You have heard of internet marketing, network marketing, direct marketing, referral marketing. But, have you ever heard of appreciation marketing? If you haven’t yet, listen up and pay attention. It could drastically change your business.
Let’s face it, if you own a network marketing or home based business you most likely have customers, right? Without customers you wouldn’t have much of a business.
Would you agree, that it is much easier to keep the customers you already have, versus having to go out and getting new ones? As a matter of fact, it’s 11 times easier.

Latest Blog Post Makes It 100
…97…98…99…100! Here I Am 100 Blog Posts Later
I can’t believe I am writing my 100th blog post today. I started this blog back on 30 May 2009, right when I was going through one of the “down phases” of the network marketing roller coaster. (Yep, if you have been in the industry long enough you know there are ups and downs. However, the downs make the ups so much sweeter.)
By writing inspirational and motivating posts I was hoping that I could find my way up again, and maybe help inspire someone else to stay the course as well …if by chance they found my blog in the sea of millions of blogs out there, haha.
My very first blog post was “Marketing Out-Side-of-the-Box”
For the next six months nothing much really happened. I was lost out there in cyber space and nobody seemed to know that my blog even existed. My visitor count was so low that I could count the people who found my blog on one hand.

Developing an Attitude of Gratitude!
Hmm, I wonder.
I’ve been reading quite a bit about “developing an attitude of gratitude” lately.
Taking things for granted is never a good thing.
Have you ever noticed that when you loose something you suddenly (and sometimes painfully) notice its value to you?
I try hard not to take anything for granted, but this morning when I sat down on my computer I noticed that I had taken for granted the very things that are KEY to my business success.
Here are just a few things I had totally taken for granted …
