Dofollow Blogs DirectoryThis weekend I was just leisurely glancing over my fellow bloggers tweets in Hootsuite, when I noticed a tweet by my friend  Adrienne Smith. I can’t remember exactly what it said but it definitely caught my attention. As it turns out Adrienne had come across a great new resource for bloggers, a free directory for dofollow blogs.

Always on the lookout for high quality blogs I couldn’t resist clicking on Adrienne’s tweet and boy am I ever glad I did.  I would have missed a big one.

Steve Jobs is Dead – He Will Be Missed By Millions

Steve Jobs Dead at 56I was deeply saddened when I heard of Steve Job’s passing yesterday. He left us way to early at the young age of 56 leaving a huge gap in the world of technology that may never be filled. Who knows what incredible innovations he would have come up with would he have had the chance to work another 20 -25 years.

The world has lost a true visionary, a creative genius. The shear mention of his name made us “think different!”

Steve Jobs changed the life of millions of people around the world. He certainly changed mine. My first computer was a Mac and just two weeks ago thanks to a great birthday present from my family I’m back on a Mac. iPods, iTunes and Pixar movies were all part of my children’s lives. That wouldn’t have been possible without the great mind of Steve Jobs.

Faceless Blog CommentingToday I need to get a couple of issues off my chest. Honestly, I really don’t like writing this post, and have been avoiding it for quite some time. But it has become necessary for me to step up and address these issues. So here it goes…

First: Faceless Blog Commenting

I have addressed this issue before in my post “Invasion of the Face Snatchers,” but it’s time to do it again.

Blog commenting is one of the best strategies I know for not only getting quality backlinks but to build profitable and long-lasting relationships with like-minded people as well.

With Sincere GratitudeWow! Another month has gone by and the calendar on the wall is starting to look pretty darn skinny. Only a few more weeks to Halloween, then Thanksgiving and we all know that between that feastful  (if that’s not a word it is now) holiday and Christmas the time only flies by even faster.

Well, for us adults anyway. For the children it may still seem endless before they will be allowed to unwrap those shiny presents underneath the Christmas tree.

But let’s not get to far ahead of ourselves … Back to September.

Facebook Timeline – Introducing the New Facebook Interface

Facebook Timeline - Profile ChangesChanges, changes and yet more changes. Just when you thought you had it all figured out, Facebook comes along with yet another one – Facebook Timeline.

Change is good! Of course it is! And especially now that Facebook is in direct competition with the newest kid on the blog where social networks are concerned …Google+ … you can expect a lot more changes coming down the pike.

The gloves are definitely off! And it seems one is always trying to outdo the other. Yes, the saying “the competition doesn’t sleep” is very true.

A Trip to the Emergency RoomIf you missed the first part of this post, you can read it here … Thanks, For Not Dying Mom! – Part 1

As I was lying there on that uncomfortable gurney looking at my husband’s concerned face a lot of thoughts went through my head…And a lot of “What Ifs?”

I had just scared the heck out of him. What if I had really died back at that stop light?…and never got the chance to do the things I still wanted to do?

A Trip to the Emergency RoomThis post is very personal, and I have been contemplating whether or not to share it with you all. But in the end I felt like I needed to.

“Thanks, for not dying Mom!”

That’s what my son said to me, after I had just spent 9 hours in the emergency room.

14 September 2011 is a day I won’t soon forget. I had an appointment for a routine medical procedure early in the morning and so my husband and I were on route to the hospital at 5:50 am.

We Will Never Forget - Our Everyday HeroesSeptember used to be my favorite month of the year. It is the last month of summer with its cool mornings, and warm, sometimes even still hot afternoons. The chill in the air at night is a sure sign that autumn is on its way.  Here in Colorado September is especially beautiful as the aspen turn into a beautiful yellow color also known as “Aspen Glow.”

We Will Never Forget!

This beautiful picture of a beautiful month has forever been scarred ten years ago on September 11, 2001. A day nobody who witnessed it, either live or on television, will ever forget.

Busted For Breaking the Twitter Rules!

Busted for violating Twitter RulesThat was absolutely NOT funny! I tried to update my Twitter stream last week and found out that my account was suspended for violating the Twitter Rules.

What? Me? Busted for breaking (any kind of) rules? No way!

Okay, so maybe my halo got a bit tarnished over the years. But most of the time, whenever I did something wrong it was totally unintentional.

All my life I’ve been trying to live by the rules, not break them. Gosh, my kids even tease me because I don’t even cut the tags off of pillows. (You know the ones that say …”Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law!” …or something like that.)

But it was true. I indeed, although unknowingly, had done something I shouldn’t have.

Bummer! Seems like…

I’m Back! – And Thanking My Top Commentators for August

Thank You!Well, as you know, I took a little break the past two weeks. While I was hoping I would be able to stay away from the online world completely and immerse myself in a good book or two …

Well, I didn’t really manage to do that.

It seems when you are involved in an online business there’s ALWAYS something to do, ALWAYS something new to learn and at my age, learning goes a little slower. Those old gray cells don’t pick things up as fast as they used to. Maybe I should buy some of those video games for seniors they advertise on TV. Maybe those would help stimulate my brain and make things easier to comprehend and remember.

Taking a BreakThey say, …“If you love what you do you never work a day in your life.So I don’t consider what I do working, really.  However, I keep forgetting that it can still wear you down if you try and burn the candle from both ends like I have done for quite some time now.

My husband has been after me for weeks to take a break or at least slow down. But I wouldn’t listen. I wouldn’t listen to the signals my body was sending either. At first that is.
