The Odds Are Against You But You Can Still Achieve Success | The Law of Belief

It’s funny how your success in life, in business is directly related to you belief system. Whatever you intensely believe becomes your reality.
That’s the Law of Belief.
Now I am the first to admit that I am not a “positive thinker” all the time. Just recently my belief system sustained a serious blow, when one of our new team members quit the business in his first week.
But as they say, “Sh** happens!” I have been in the network marketing industry long enough to know that people do quit, but I had never anyone quit in the first week. (It was my own fault because I violated an important rule. I knew better, but sometimes my heart gets in the way of my head.)
Failure is NOT an option.
When stuff like that happens you have two options. The first one is to let it get to you and really bring you down. You start doubting yourself and your abilities. Worst case scenario, you quit yourself. Don’t do that! People will do strange things sometimes. You don’t have any control over other people’s actions. The only person you have control over is yourself. And remember you only fail if you quit, so quitting is NOT an option.
The second option is to shake it off and keep on going full steam ahead. Keep believing in yourself! Remember your “WHY”. Visualize your destination. Whatever happens between where you are right now and your destination (your dream) is only temporary. There will be road blocks, detours and flat tires. There will be ups and downs. It’s all part of the journey. Regard any obstacles as stepping stones to your success.
Successful people absolutely believe that they have the ability to succeed. They can feel it, smell it and taste it. They absolutely have no doubt that they can do whatever they set out to achieve. They KNOW they can and the possibility of failure doesn’t even enter their mind.
I came across this video by Brian Tracy today about the “Law of Belief” and I want to share it with you…
“Whatever you believe, with feeling, emotion and intensity becomes your reality because you always act on your beliefs.” ~Brian Tracy
Positive “Knowing” versus Positive “Thinking.”
“Positive thinking can sometimes be wishing or hoping,
but positive knowing is when you absolutely know that no matter what,
you will be successful as long as you don’t quit.”
~Brian Tracy
This is the first time I heard this and it will be forever engrained in my brain. It makes total sense to me. The difference between “knowing” and “thinking” has never been that clear to me.
“I KNOW I can!!!” ….Now isn’t that so much more powerful than “I think I can!”
According to Brian Tracy …”1 in one hundred becomes wealthy in the course of a lifetime. 5% achieve financial independence so they never have to worry about money again. The odds are against you 19:1 in terms of achieving financial success.”
Knowing the odds and knowing that you can realize your dream and the willpower, persistence and determination to pull it off regardless of any short term obstacles along the way will get you the success you desire.
Go for it! You KNOW you can!!!
To Your Massive Success!

Hi Ilka
Believing that failure is not an option, you only have one other choice…success.
I have been working on that lately. Tomorrow I am going to be somewhere which I am imagining nothing but success. Part of that mindset is the fact I have done research, planning and gathering information together. So the part of success is action.
I know that planning and preparing anything else as much as I have in the past month for this one day should reward me with many successes in the future.
Great post and just another confirmation on what I have been reading lately.

Hi Mary,
You are absolutely right, action is a very big part of success. Actually, you can’t have success without taking action and the more (massive) action you take the faster you get there.
It’s all part of planning out your journey and then putting one foot in front of the other. However, success isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon
Thanks for your great feedback, Mary!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Motivational post indeed Ilka!
Of course YOU can, I can, and we all can – provided we have that belief, which is SO SO important.
Ups and downs will always be a part of our lives. If you remember, I had mentioned something quite similar in a post on my blog about failure not being an option – that failure isn’t an option of us, nor should we let it be. Yes, we might feel we have failed during our down times, but those should be taken as learning opportunities – they are the stepping stones to our success – provided we have faith and belief in ourselves and our abilities.
Brian Tracy’s video was awesome indeed, and he sure knows how to inspire and motivate you.
I’m all for positively knowing that things will work well – that’ where the LOA comes in too, rather than just positively thinking about it. And yes, those stats as Brian had mentioned, surprised me too – though it also makes us realize that with your dedication, will-power and determintaion – you can achieve anything.
Thanks for sharing and boosting all of us.

Thank you so much, Harleena!
I think changing that inner voice from “I think I can” to “I know I can” makes a huge difference. It already changed my mindset these past few days. It’s incredible how much more powerful “knowing” is versus “thinking.’
Oh yes, I remember your post about failure not being an option. And indeed it isn’t. It just can’t be if you want to reach success. Almost all “overnight successes” have a long history of ‘failing along the way’, getting back up and trying again.
Yes, the Law of Attraction…just thinking about it doesn’t do the trick. Knowing you can and then putting some (massive) action behind it will get you there a lot faster. I think people misunderstood “The Secret” thinking if they just strongly thought about something it would come to pass. There’s other things involved to make it happen
Thanks so much for your great feedback Harleena, and have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Ilka,
I can’t believe you felt you were some how to blame for your new recruit leaving after just one week. You KNOW that you aren’t responsible for other people’s actions. You can only be there for them and support them but they have to do the work.
I love this post and message. I also love Brian’s teachings as well. I am positive 99.9-1/2% of the time but I do have my moments. Not often at all thank goodness but they happen.
As long as we believe in ourselves and know that it will happen then that will put all those things in front of us to make it so. That I do believe!
Great message and as always, you share such awesome content with us. Love that about your place girl.
You enjoy your day okay!

Hi Adrienne,
Oh yes, it really was my fault. I should have listened to my gut from the very beginning on this one. Things just weren’t right. But anyways, it doesn’t really matter. Onward and upward!
Gosh you must be the most positive person I know, Adrienne, and that’s what I and I know a lot of other people as well love so much on you.
Positive thinking and having a positive attitude can be learned though. I’m proof of that! I had a very rough time early in life and for the longest time I lived after the motto …“Brace for the worst and hope for the best.” I’ve come a long, long ways since then but still have to work on it.
Believing in yourself is KEY! YOU have got to believe in yourself! It’s not enough that others believe in you and tell you so. Until you yourself believe in your innermost being that you CAN do it and you WILL do it, it won’t come to pass.
As always thank you so much for your kind words and your awesome feedback, Adrienne! I appreciate you!

Hey Ilka
I’m loving the positivity in this post.
I know without a doubt that there are some people who will give up but it is those people who won’t succeed.
I’m going to remind myself of “I know I can” whenever “I think I can” from now on!

Hi Ilka,
Very nice to meet you! I followed a link from a post of Adrienne’s on Google+.
I loved that video, thanks so much for posting it. I’ve never come across Brian Tracy before but watching that has made a few things I was pondering make much more sense. I’d always understood that emotions were part of making what you want to happen, happen – I knew that the emotions were the fuel in the car so to speak but this video drove that point home with the words ‘intensely believe’.
I must confess to having some very deeply ingrained beliefs about things which I know moderate how I behave and which I want to reverse. I’m going to give the exercise a try where I only talk (and think if I can) about what I want for 24 hours and not what I don’t want. I shall try and remember to report back!
Thanks so much for a great post and thanks to Adrienne for sharing it.
All the best, Roz

Hi again Roz,
And it’s a great pleasure to meet you as well
Oh that Miss Adrienne, isn’t she something? You just gotta love her.
Yes, emotions are a big part of the Law of Attraction. I don’t know if you have seen “The Secret” but they talk about that there as well. You’ve got to feel it, smell it, taste it. It’s got to become part of you. “Intensely believing” like Brian Tracy says.
Deeply ingrained beliefs can be changed…IF…you’re not an elephant
(I think I wrote a couple of blog posts about that.) …Anyway, I don’t know if you you know that elephants are tied to stakes as babies and no matter how hard they pull and tuck they can’t get lose. Because of their great memory they remember that as adults so they think they can’t get lose from the stakes they are tied on at the zoo, or circus as well. But you and I know that they could kick that stake into next week if they wanted to. Talk about ingrained beliefs
So go ahead and try that exercise and be sure to come back and report your results. I’m looking forward to it
Have an awesome weekend!

Hi Ilka,
Well, am I familiar with the subject!
You know most of our problems come from this, we are letting things bother us, and the saddest part of this is that there’re not worth while things.
Now, what I mean is if someone you love died, then, yes, it’s normal and expected that it will affect you, and that for a while, but someone leaving your team, is not a matter for you to ruined your day.
I’ve learned that over the past few years, and I’ve learned it the hard way, so to speak.
Belief is everything, what you believe about yourself will either make or break you.

Hi Sylviane,
I always enjoy your input and I wholeheartly believe that what we think either makes us or breaks us. A long time ago I said…“Success starts and ends in your mind. Period” …Because you believe what you think. Oh, the mind is such a dangerous place really.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Sylviane, and have a great week!
