What’s “The Business of the 21st Century” And Why Should You Get Involved In It?

Business of the 21st Century

Business of the 21st Century

I’m sure you are familiar with best-selling author Robert Kiyosaki of “Rich Dad – Poor Dad.” If you haven’t  read the book I highly recommend it. I also recommend his newest book “The Business of the 21st Century.” (Read the First Chapter of “The Business of the 21st Century here.)

Have your parents ever told you this …

“Go to school get good grades, get a high-paying job, live below your means and save money?”

Has it gotten you anywhere? Has it gotten you to where you want to be?

The sad truth is, that for a lot of us, this plan doesn’t work.

You’ll never get rich working for someone else. That’s a fact!

Instead you should be in business for yourself. I don’t mean being self-employed or a small business owner.

In the short video below, Robert Kiyosaki will explain what “The Business of the 21st Century” is and why it makes perfect sense.

I love the way he said: “Always remember, it’s not money that makes you rich, it’s business skills.”

I totally believe that, because money comes and goes, but the skills you acquire (in network marketing or direct selling) will always stay with you. And that’s why network marketing is the perfect business.

“The number one asset a person can build is build a business. That’s the smartest thing you can do.” _Robert  Kiyosaki.

I truly believe this, as from my own experience I know that “Plan A” doesn’t work. Our family had to find out what it meant to go from a paycheck to zero from one day to the next. There is no such thing as “Job Security” and there hasn’t been for a very long time.

So, are you leaving your future and that of your family’s in the hands of someone else? Or is it time for a change? Is it time for you to take a closer look at “The Business of the 21st Century? It’s your choice!

To your success,

Hi Ilka,

I would highly recommend any work by Kyosaki. He has as much business sense as anybody. Great stuff!

The skills acquired when network marketing are the wealth you possess and these skills are transferable to any business. They are always on the resume.

Thanks for sharing :)

Hi Ryan,

You are absolutely correct. When Robert Kiyosaki speaks people listen. He knows his stuff!

Like I already said, money comes and goes, but the skills you learn will stay with you. Quite frankly, I don’t know of any other industry where you can learn such a variety of skills. They’re not just applicable to business but to life as well.

Thanks for stopping by … and thanks for always sharing my stuff! I appreciate you!!

Hi Ilka,

Robert Kyosaki “gets it”! I would recommend anything of his highly. I made my husband check out Rich Dad Poor Dad from the library a couple months back and just asked him to read two chapters. He finished the book and the next thing I know he was on Amazon ordering every book he has written thus far.

The world needs to wake up and realize we live in a different world that we did even just a few years back. Things change and people have to adapt and change with it or end up jobless and/or without their pensions!

Awesome post!

Hi Twila,

That’s too funny about your husband :) You trained him well.

I totally agree, that people have to adapt to the different world we live in. Change often is painful and uncomfortable though and people are set in their ways … or beliefs for that matter. But you’re right, if they don’t get ‘with it’ they will be feeling the consequences.

Have an awesome evening!

I love Roberyt Kiyosaki. I first read ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ many years ago and probably didn’t fully understand the book then. One thing he says is that one has to develop the emotional intelligence required to move quadrants and that is so true. Thanks for sharing Ilka.

Hi Ilka, I haven’t read “Rich Dad Poor Dad” but “Why We Want You to be Rich” and like Kyosaki illustrate in this video above, it’s about changing out philosophy.

You know they say “change happens between your ears.” So change your thinking and you will change your life.

Love the “Why We Want You to Be Rich” with Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. I have the audio version. Actually, I do like books better because you can highlight passages :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Hi Ilka,

Since I was mentored by the Rich Dad Team…I guess you can understand my opinion on this post.

If someone like this has gone to this extent to make a point, that should tell a lot of people.

Thanks for sharing this video too. It’s one of my favorites of Robert.

Take care,

Ilka great looking blog this is my first visit but not my last. So true about going into business for yourself. Being a small business owner or self-employed like a lot my friends are is just owning a job. They do have better than average incomes but they still envy the freedom that comes with networking. And I know whatever happens these skills are here to stay and I can repeat any success I have ever had.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for stopping by! It’s very nice to meet you.

You said something very important … “whatever happens these skills are here to stay and I can repeat any success I have ever had.”

That is so true! You can take those skills anywhere. It’s like Emerson says … “A mind once expanded can never shrink back to its original state.”

Thanks for your great comment!

Hi Ilka,

I really enjoyed reading this post… I attempted to convey the same message in my latest article “Do You Call Yourself An Entrepreneur?” but you have presented it so much better!

I have, for some time, been a follower of Robert Kiyosaki and now have six books from his “Rich Dad” series and, I’m sure, will be adding more.

Blessings,
Phil

Hi Ilka!

Robert Kiyosaki is awesome! You’re certainly right when you said that “Plan A doesn’t work”.

I can personally tell you that it doesn’t matter how much you climb the ladder in corporate America, you will never reach as high as you can in your network marketing business both through relationships and personal growth.

While you can certainly earn a great income with Network Marketing, this business is about more than just money. :-)

Hope you have a blessed day!

Hi Ilka,

I haven’t read this one yet although I read many of his books including “Business School” which is about Network Marketing as well. I owe it to this book that I am in this industry today. If not for this book, well, I don’t know.

Thanks for sharing, might grab a copy of this one.

Take care

Have a great weekend, Oliver!
