Probably The Easiest Way In The World To Increase Your Blog Traffic

| Posted in Social Networking |

When I started this blog about a year ago, I knew very litte about blogging. But I knew, in order to grow my business, I had to have one central hub or nerve center to send all my traffic to. I also knew that I had to provide my visitors with good quality content so they would come back for more.

So I did all that but still, until just recently it was slow going. My Alexa ranking was hovering around the 2 to 3 million. Not really what I hoped for. Clearly, I needed some major help in order to increase my blog traffic.

Everything changed when

Social Network Friends List Or …What NOT To Do When You Receive A Friend Request At Your Social Network

Ouch! Someone hit me over the head with a baseball bat again. Not literally, of course, but it hurts just as much and it had me run for the Aspirin.

Over the weekend, I invited several people to be my friend at one of the top social networks. Unfortunately, one person mistook it as an invitation to spam me with his business opportunity.  Now, I will give this gentleman the benefit of doubt and assume he didn’t know any better. But this is a sure-fire way to get scratched off of my friends list. Like most social network members, I am there to build relationships.

Don’t take your clothes off on the very first date …

Spamming people who sent you a friends request with your business opportunity, is like

Being A Parent Can Be A Huge Advantage In Network Marketing

multi-level parents I actually had a different topic planed for today. But decided to piggyback on Jason Better’s post from yesterday. His post yesterday was about “Multi-Level Moms and Dads.” What a great topic and definitely some incredible food for thought.

Some may find that having children might hinder them in their home business. I find it quite the opposite. It can be a HUGE advantage single network marketers don’t have. We parents have a lot of  opportunities for networking other people wouldn’t even get.

Just think about it…

When you are bringing your toddler to preschool you meet other preschool parents to hook up and go out for coffee with. Btw, that’s how I got introduced to Tupperware, taking our oldest son to a German Kindergarten and meeting a Tupperware rep there. I’m still buying Tupperware today, because I fell in love with the products. Later when our boys were playing sports, there were always moms and dads around to network with.

The $64,000 Question…

When you meet other parents on the football field or at the hockey rink

Why You Should Surround Yourself With Successful People

Surround Yourself With Successful People With A Little Help From My Friends

My Mom always told me, …”Tell me who you hang out with and I tell you who you are”.

There’s also another saying that goes something like this … “Surround yourself with successful people and you yourself will become successful”.

If you want to learn how to become a champion golfer, you hang around people like Tiger Woods.

If you want to learn how to become a top notch business person, you hang with the likes of a Donald Trump.

If you want to become a world class network marketer you hang out at Jason Better’s blog and BetterNetworker.com.

And that’s exactly what I have done.

As a network marketer we wear many different hats and we have to accomplish many different tasks. Especially if we market on the internet, there’s just so much to learn. We can’t be experts in everything, so the next best thing is

How To Become A Better Network Marketer … In Less Than 30 Days

Productivity is Key Productivity Advice from Jerry Seinfeld

We all have certain tasks that we should be doing on a daily basis. But for some reason or another we don’t.

Deep down we know that doing these tasks would not only help us become a better network marketer but they would also greatly improve our business skills.

There’s a great story about a young comic who met Jerry Seinfeld.

He asked him if he had any tips on how to improve his jokes as he was still learning the ropes.

The answer Seinfeld gave him was genius, not for the fact that he told the young comic to write every day (which he already knew), but because he told him

How Often Do You Find Yourself Saying: “I Wish I Had Started …”

You reap what you sow Start small, but DO start.

You can’t finish if you never start.

A Chinese proverb says, “The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.”

Even the smallest accomplishment has great value.

How’s that?

Because it gets the ball rolling and it sets in motion a positive momentum. Once you begin to create value, you easily and naturally

Could You Still Fail Even If You Had The Answers To These Three Questions?

The Three Questions What is the right time for every action?

Who are the most important people?

What is the most important business?

Sometimes we wish we had all the answers. It would make life so much easier, wouldn’t it?

Well the little story below will give us the answers to the questions above. But having those answers could we still fail?

The Three Questions
By Leo Tolstoy

It once occurred to a certain king, that if he always knew the right time to begin everything; if he knew who were the right people to listen to, and whom to avoid; and, above all, if he always knew what was the most important thing to do, he would never fail in anything he might undertake.

And this thought having occurred to him, he had it proclaimed throughout his kingdom that he would give a great reward to anyone who would teach him what was the right time for every action, and who were the most necessary people, and how he might know what was the most important thing to do.

And learned men came to the King, but they all answered his questions differently.

In reply to the first question, some said that

Will You Be Next To Get The Boot From Amazon?

And How Will This Affect All Affiliate Marketers or Programs?

Usually I love Mondays, but this week did not start off well for me. I found a letter in my inbox from Amazon telling me that my affiliate account had been closed as of today, March 8th 2010, and that I will no longer be paid advertising fees for customers I refer to Amazon.com after that date.

Amazon state their reason:

We are writing from the Amazon Associates Program to inform you that the Colorado government recently enacted a law to impose sales tax regulations on online retailers. The regulations are burdensome and no other state has similar rules. The new regulations do not require online retailers to collect sales tax. Instead, they are clearly intended to increase the compliance burden to a point where online retailers will be induced to “voluntarily” collect Colorado sales tax — a course we won’t take.

We and many others strongly opposed this legislation, known as HB 10-1193, but

What Can You Learn From A Mayonnaise Jar And Coffee About Life?

Time Out!

Sometimes I feel I write this blog just as much for myself as for you, my visitors. I have been extremely busy lately. Learning new things, figuring out new WordPress plugins, and gadgets and widgets. I’m almost at the point of burnout.

You can only burn the candle at two ends for so long.

Last night, while laying in bed, unable to sleep because my mind was still going a thousand miles an hour, I remembered this story below. I love motivational and inspirational stories. Lately I’ve been putting them into custom greeting cards and sending them to my customers, team mates, friends and family.

So here’s the story …

The Mayonnaise Jar and Coffee

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar… and the coffee…

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.  When the class began,
