Just 10 A Day Will Set You Free

A mind once expanded will never shrink back to its original state. Just imagine how different your life – or your network marketing business – would be 5 years from now if you made a few simple changes today and stuck to it. If instead of watching another episode of CSI you would pick up a personal development book and read just 10 pages every single day. If instead of reading novels and living someone else’s dream, you picked up Napoleon Hill’s “Think & Grow Rich” and build your own dream.

Do you think this would change your life? I betcha!! They say it takes 21 days to break or make a habit. I dare you to try it out.

Reading 10 pages a day doesn’t take a lot of time. Maybe 10-15 minutes? But just think within a year you will have read 3650 pages. Let’s assume the average

Success: Even Eagles Need A Push

Even Eagles Need A Push One of my “Better Bunch” friends challenged me to write a blog post every day this week, Monday through Friday.

I’m always up for a challenge, but let me tell you, that was not easy. I had to put some things on the back burner, make some sacrifices and really stretch my limits, but in the end I did get it done.

“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day.” _ Jim Rohn

When I told my husband about this challenge on Monday, the first words out of his mouth were …

Don’t Make Network Marketing Harder Than It Is

There’s a reason it’s called NETWORK Marketing. You are not all by yourself. It’s about a large group of people doing a few simple activities over a sustained period of time. In other words, it’s about a lot of people doing a little consistently over time. It’s about leveraging yourself.

Don’t think you have to sponsor this large group of people all by yourself either. You only need a handful and then teach them how to get a handful. And so on. Over time you, and your handful of people, that you started out with, will have build your large network.

You can talk to any one of the top leaders in any company and they will tell you that they only sponsored a few people themselves. And those few built their network marketing organizations. Remember, it’s about a lot of people doing a little over a sustained period of time.

One of my favorite books is ‘The Slight Edge’ by Jeff Olson. In it he tells the story of ‘The Water Hyacinth. It goes something like this…

Although a single plant can produce as many as 5,000 seeds, the method it prefers to grow is by doubling itself. It can cover an entire pond in 30 days. However, for the first few weeks you won’t even notice it is there. On day 15 you may see maybe a square foot. On the 20th day you may find a dense little patch maybe the size of a mattress. On day 29 half the ponds surface will be open water. But, on the 30th day the whole pond will be covered with a blanket of the water hyacinth. You won’t even see any water.

So you see, just by doubling itself, this amazing plant covered a whole pond in as little as a month. It’s pretty much the same principle in network marketing. We double ourselves, and then again and again and again until we have a very large network of people who all do a little to contribute to the whole.

It’s not hard. It just takes time.

Many people give up to soon. If they would just have stayed the course, they would have reaped the harvest of the seeds they were sowing.

Don’t give up! Stay the course! Get a few. Teach them to get a few and help them teach those to get a few. And you all do just a few simple activities every day over a sustained period of time.

I know, I sound like a broken record…but there is a point to it.

I invite you to leave your experience in the comment box below.

212°…The Extra Degree

A couple of months ago I posted this on my old “The Enlightened Networker” blog. This morning I needed a little reminder of the difference between good and great. So I watched this movie again to encourage myself to give it that extra little push that makes all the difference in the world. I thought I’d share it again with you all. Maybe you need a little reminder too.

Did you know that…

  • At 211 degrees, water is hot.
  • At 212 degrees, it boils.
  • And with boiling water comes steam.
  • And steam can power a locomotive.
  • The one extra degree makes all the difference.

Are you reaching your goals, your dreams, whatever you set out to accomplish in life? Maybe you need to push just a little harder. Remember in last year’s Summer Olympics, Michael Phelps won another Gold Medal by one hundredth of a second.

So many times in business as well as in life (or sports) it is that one extra degree that makes all the difference in the world.

“To get what we’ve never had we must do what we’ve never done.”

See you at the top!

Staying the Course

Staying the Course
    By BJ Gallagher

Our journey of life is about progress, not perfection.
It’s not about doing one thing 100% better -
it’s a matter of doing 100 things, 1% better each day.

    Progress is evolutionary not revolutionary,
and most days we measure our progress
    in inches, not miles.

What matters most is showing up for your life
whether you feel like it or not.

Ask yourself, “What two or three little things
can I do today that would move me forward?”

You’ll be amazed at how much distance
you can cover by taking it in increments.

    The little things add up; the inches turn to miles;
and we string together our efforts like so many pearls.
Before long, look what you have – a whole strand!

    Ah… beautiful.

This goes rigth along with “The Slight Edge.” If you haven’t read the book “The Slight Edge: Secret to a $uccessful Life” by Jeff Olson I highly recommend that you go out and get it TODAY. It’s the little things we do every single day that will change our life forever. Did you know that you can change your life, your finances, your health, your relationships and family life in just 5 short years by applying “The Slight Edge” every day. It’s easy to do and it’s just as easy not to do. But by doing it you can turn your whole life around.

Be blessed.
