My name is Ilka Flood and I am originally from Germany…born and raised.

My love of books brought me to the United States. I now live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and our three sons. I love it here, it kind of reminds me a bit of home and the boys love it because they love snowboarding.

Besides books I love art, even got my degree in Advanced Computer Graphic Design. However, after a while I found that this industry was a bit too fast-paced for me and that the only thing I liked about deadlines, was the swoosh sound they made as they zoomed by.

Through a personal tragedy, I found that Inter/Network Marketing was a much better fit for me. It’s the aspect of residual income that attracted me and got me hooked. You do something once and you get paid for it forever. Nice!

Sounds easy enough, doesn’t it? Well, actually it isn’t. Internet/Network Marketing is simple, but it is definitely not easy. I went through a lot of trials and tribulations. I got better as time went on, and I am still getting better every single day. It’s amazing how a little bit of success propels you forward and makes you try even harder. Your self-confidence level goes up as you are reaching your next goal and then the one after that. It’s a lot of fun!

One day I decided to start this blog and share what I’ve learned along the way — and what I am still learning on a continued basis — with those who want to build a successful homebased business online.

I share internet marketing tips as well as social media techniques and strategies I come across and that have helped me. I am also a strong believer of “building a successful business starts with building yourself first.” That’s why I love to share personal development quotes and stories which hopefully will motivate and inspire you.

I am a very compassionate person with a genuine desire to make people’s lives better. Especially these days a lot of people out there are hurting financially. We are in the right industry to give them hope for a better future.
