The Magic Behind A Good Home Based Business – For YOU

“What is a good home based business?”
This question was asked in one of the social networks I am a member of. A great question. Especially for someone new to the industry.
As you can imagine, dozens of replies came in from other members offering information on the home based business they are promoting. Of course everyone thinks their opportunity is the best. That’s only natural. But, what is a good fit or me might not be a good fit for you.
When you are looking for a good home based business … for YOU … your first question should be, …“What am I passionate about?”
What do you like to do for fun? What hobbies or interests do you have? What makes you tick? If money were no object, what would you do with the rest of your life?
That’s the answer I gave …. and I have been saying that over and over lately …
“Find your passion and then find a way to make money with it.”
If you are truly passionate about what you do, you’ll be having so much fun that it won’t seem like work. And … the money WILL follow eventually.
For example, if you are into health and fitness choose a home business to match that interest. Or, if you are the creative type, find something that matches up with that. And so on. Never join a home based business only because a friend or family member wants you to join up with them. You’ll be miseable and you won’t do anyone a favor when you quit a couple of months into it.
Interesting what a recent Yahoo survey revealed about what kind of work U.S adults would prefer to do late in life. Read Kim Klaver’s post about it here.
Let me know what you are passionate about in your comments below. Is your business connected to your passion and vise versa?

Hey Ilka,
That is so true…You have to like or have passion for your business. If not, just like you mention in a couple of month they will be quitting.
When you enjoy doing something. You’ll get rewarded for it.

What greater reward than getting paid for having fun?

Hi Ilka,
I feel if you’re not satisfied with what you do and you’re not seriously passionate about it then why would anyone consider continuing on.
It’s a question most won’t consider!
For me and my team, it’s about having fun, changing some people’s lives and making a little money along the way.
Talk to you later,

Hi Jerome,
Great to see your smiling face! Thanks for stopping by!
Yes, you’d wonder why some people stay on. Maybe they’re hoping against odds that things may change.
You could ask the same question of many people who are holding down regular jobs they absolutely hate. Why do they stay? Why don’t they look for something they could have fun with … even if it meant less pay.
Glad you and your team are having fun. That’s what it’s all about. And changing people’s lives and making a little extra money along the way is an added bonus

the biggest factors in Network Marketing success.
No fire, no results.

Hey Ilka,
I am passionate about writing. I love to write in a way that brings out other peoples emotions.
I am also a very technical person, so to even things out I sometimes write about the tech side of business.
But what I am most passionate about is family. Everything I do is for my wife and kids. We actually talked about this same subject not long ago, and I decided to take a financial risk and drop my primary opportunity. I am thinking of getting into some type of network marketing travel industry. But haven’t made a decision yet.
For now I continue to teach, and wonder the net looking for cool posts like this to get me thinking.
Great job Ilka,
I’m glad I stopped by.

Chris,
Your passion for writing definitely comes through and you’ve got great talent as well.
You’re absolutely right, family comes first. It’s the most important thing in our life. It’s our rock. It’s what we can always count on. I keep telling that to my three sons, because at a certain age, mom and dad become less important than friends.
Risk taking is part of the game, Chris. Just always listen to your little voice inside and to your gut feeling. Then you’ll be alright.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me your thoughts!
Wishing you much continued success!
